The Embodied System

The Embodied System is a ruleset and character sheet for quick and unforgiving RPG one-shots. Blood, Breath, Bone, Flesh, and Hide are the Elements that make up a character and determine whether their actions succeed or fail.  Injuries permanently reduce a character's ability to pass skill checks. An ever-growing Effigy of stacked dice tracks a character's trauma, and when it falls the character's story ends.

The system is designed for one Game Master and a party of one to five other players. Each player needs five sets of standard RPG dice.
